This makes me happy

So it's been a while since any of us have posted anything. We've been busy fightin' crime before bedtime, so you must forgive us.

I really love it when things come together perfectly, and my perfect example of this is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. For those who know me, they'll know that I am a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It also goes without saying that I love anything thing that Joss Whedon touches. The man can do no wrong. As well, you may have read a previous post with me gushing about the awesomeness that is How I Met Your Mother.

In an amazing stroke of creative geniusness, Joss Whedon created Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day. In Joss' words, it is a "story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up and the cute girl from the laundromat he's too shy to talk to." It's going to be awesome! Check out the trailer and visit their MySpace page!

Impressionable Prom

It's been a while. Culminating project season is a bummer.

Again, I must stress that I am still a high school student. I'm almost done though, and that's marked by my school's so-close-I-can-taste-it prom. No that's not the theme of our prom, that's an analogy for how soon it is. Anyhow, since I'm excited and in a good mood, I'll pass on some of that feeling to you in song. In fact, these songs'll represent my predictions for the night in chronological order.

The Flashing Lights - High School (mp3)

Ok Go - You're So Damn Hot (mp3)

The Rakes (feat. Lily Allen) - Let's Dance (David Bowie cover) (mp3)

Joel Plaskett Emergency - Drunk Teenagers (mp3)

Kaiser Chiefs - I predict a Riot (Mp3)

Small Sins

Small Sins are playing NXNE weekend, both at Yonge at Dundas Square on Saturday the 14th at 3pm .

Thomas Darcy, the founder of the group, was in the Carnations many years ago and I really only found out about them at either one of their last or their final show at the Horseshoe many years ago. A friend has been bugging me to see Small Sins pretty much everytime they play, but something always comes up. And this time, I think I'll actually take her advice.
