On My Way to Canada

I've written about the Sweet Serenades before. They're from Sweden, but I thought their sound was very Canadian. It's a rock sound with lots of handclaps, upbeat melodies with just enough cynicism to take them seriously. It's so much fun, I've been playing their songs on repeat. Anyways, back to the main point. Look at this press shot. Checkered shirts. Lumberjack attire. Gruff facial hair. Coniferous trees. What's the deal? Are these boys secretly Canadian? Or does Sweden and Canada have so much in common? I mean, we both have a happenin' rock community...
