I also had the chance to catch part of their set at Yonge and Dundas Square when they performed for NXNE, so here's a little live and unreleased bootleg from me to you. Nice and fuzzy quality like an illegit mp3 should be. It hadn't a name when I recorded it, so I've appropriately dubbed it "Lightning Bolt", at least until someone comes along to correct me.

In-Flight Safety at Criminal Records

Yeah, I know it's short notice from me, but In-Flight Safety will be making a FREE, all-ages, acoustic appearance at Criminal Records at 2PM today. Yay! But it looks more and more like I won't be able to go.

My Heart Hurts

I was estatic to receive a copy of In-Flight Safety's new album, We Are An Empire, My Dear, in my inbox. I've always liked In-flight Safety. I remember the first time I've ever heard their music on a sad Friday night a few years back. Its a warm, sunny sound that feels like its enveloping you in blankets and warmth.

And listening to the new album in my car, my heart actually hurt upon the seventh track, "Amy Racina". But I mean, isn't that what music is supposed to do? To create or provoke emotion? To make us feel happy or sad or a million different things?
